To ensure the health and safety of all staff, players, patrons, visitors and general public entering the Centre during Covid-19 Alert Level 2, see below public health and social measures to be implemented as per directives from Ministry of Health, Squash New Zealand and Squash Auckland to reduce risk of COVID-19 transmission.


Ensure NZ Covid tracer App is used QR code scanned Bluetooth is "ON" or keep manual sign-in records to allow contact tracing to occur in the event of a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19

Ensure people at high risk of severe illness (older people and those with existing medical conditions) are advised to stay at home where possible

Ensure physical distancing of one metre is followed; If this is not possible it is suggested to wear a face covering

Ensure up-to-date cleaning and sanitation measures and soap hand washing and sanitizer available all the time

Ensure no gathering of more than 100 people at one tiime

Ensure adequate signage and information regarding precautions for managing Covid-19

Ensure staff are properly briefed on all information regarding precautions for managing Covid-19

Ensure people with flu like symptoms are supported to self-isolate if necessary

Ensure response plan in place for dealing with suspected and confirmed COVID-19 cases


Stay home if you are in self-isolation or under quarantine for any reason or if you are sick and unwell to contain any spread of illness.

Symptoms may include fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath / difficulty breathing, recent onset runny nose / sneezing / post-nasal drip, loss of smell, diarrhoea, headache, aches and pains, nausea / vomiting, confusion / irritability.

All people entering and accessing Centre must use NZ Covid Tracer App or sign in and sign out on register. The sign in regime is critical to allow contact tracing to occur in the event of a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19. There is no exception here and ALL must adhere to otherwise access to Centre may NOT be allowed.

Maintain physical distancing at all times with people (at least 1 metre). Eliminate where possible face-to-face meetings. If this is not possible it is suggested to wear a face covering.

Wash and dry your hands often using provided handwashing station after playing, coughing, sneezing, touching your face, using the bathroom & toilet; Use hand wash soap or hand sanitizer.

Cough or sneeze into your elbow only

Put used tissues in rubbish bin or in a plastic bag

Players should not wipe their hands on any part of court walls & doors especially the back wall - to prevent any contamination on surfaces. Bring and use your own towel if necessary and leave on front part of court.

Keep sweat towels in your bag when not in use.

Use only your own racket and towel to prevent sharing between players.

Refrain from touching any part of your face if you have not washed your hands prior.

Use another form of acknowledgement e.g. foot tap or racket bump and refrain from shaking hands.

Acknowledge your obligation to inform Centre staff if a person become unwell or become aware they have had contact with a suspected COVID-19 case. Notify Ministry of Health – Healthline Advise & Information line: 0800 3585453 for appropriate measure.


The following are to be cleaned and disinfected after each court and equipment use whenever possible: • Court door handle and lever • For hire rackets grip handle and frame • For hire squash balls • Glass back wall • Court lounge chairs and tables • Counter area touch surfaces

Regular daily cleaning or disinfectant of following including all high touch areas

• Door handles - entrance and exit door, men’s and women’s bathroom door and drinks fridge • Bathroom wash sink, shower and toilet fixtures i.e. toilet bowl flush and urinal levers • Changing room benches • Court floors and walls • Lounge chairs and tables • Counter bench and sign in/out area
